I hardly ever think about thyroid cancer anymore, and that is a very good thing. Man, I ran it into the ground: thought, re-thought, analyzed, re-analyzed, researched, researched more, read tons of highly technical "white papers" on my particular variety of thyroid cancer, and I pushed my doctors (of which there were many) to over-treat me. All because I was scared and wanted to gain control.
Dude.
You can't control cancer.
I'm thankful that I've learned this.
2013 is the year of living in the moment, doing things I've always wanted to do, being kinder and more compassionate, and GETTING OUT THERE AND DOING instead of just talking or thinking about DOING.
